Wellington Wedding Photography - Anh & Ha

Anh and Ha were married in Vietnam late last year. They currently live in Wellington and before their trip home they wanted some portraits around Wellington. We ventured from forests to botanic gardens to the windy south coast. They had multiple outfit changes which were all gorgeous. I especially loved Ha's traditional Vietnamese wedding dress. So glamorous! These two looked like movie stars casually strolling along Princess Bay beach.

Anh and Ha, it was such a wonderful experience meeting you both. Vietnam was always on the wish list but after getting an inside guide I am now busting to visit! Looking forward to catching up again, maybe this time in Ninh Binbh over some delicious Pho and coffee...

Wairarapa Wedding Photography - Kaylee & Luke

Kaylee and Luke are positive, generous, vivacious people and their wedding was the perfect reflection of them. With Kaylee's amazing eye for design, Luke's beer brewing skills and a talented team of contributors, everything at Lacewood was drop-dead gorgeous. And, most importantly, there was so much connection between this group of family and friends. Their day was bursting with love and it was very contagious!

Mr and Mrs Butters, you are beautiful people inside and out and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together as husband and wife. X

Wellington Portrait Photography - Baby Finn

Carla and Jack invited me to spend some time with them, Carla's mum Monica and their new baby boy, Finn. Documenting an afternoon at home with them left me feeling so happy. It was one of the most peaceful and loving environments I've ever photographed. Finn was such a handsome little dude and full of character even at 6 weeks old. Below are a few of my favourite frames...

Tarureka Estate Wedding Photography - Gemma & Caleb

Gemma and Caleb's wedding day was filled with colour, romance, style and most importantly, family and lots of love. It is one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever photographed. The happiness of everyone there was infectious. And to top it all off, there were some super smooth dance moves at the end of the night.

Special thanks goes out to Nadine from the incredibly talented duo at Tim Kelly Photography for helping me out with this oneThe images of Caleb and his groomsmen getting ready and at the olive grove are her gorgeous work.

Enjoy...

Kapiti Coast Wedding Photography - Di & Dan

Dianna and Dan are two of the loveliest people I've ever met. They are genuine, humble and very kind. They tied the knot earlier this year at a small, intimate wedding at the idyllic Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre. The forest surrounding Makahika is so peaceful. Even the spots of rain and mist added to the romantic atmosphere of the day. Di has become a good friend of mine and is an incredible designer, check out her work here. Dan is also a talented designer and came up with their classy beer bottle labels. We also had a group of wonderful vendors and personal friends which made the day even more special (links at the bottom of this post).

Congratulations to an amazing couple, your wedding day was truly special and I wish you all the happiness in the world!

Wellington Engagement Photography - Kaylee & Luke

Here are a few of my favourite frames from Kaylee and Luke's engagement shoot. We had the best time wandering around the forest on a perfectly still Autumn evening. I'm so glad to have met these two. They are kind-hearted and fun people to be around and I cannot wait to photograph their winter wedding in a few months time! Kaylee is also a talented designer and used their images to create the most amazing wedding invitation (images at the end of this post)...

Wairarapa Wedding Photography - Kat & Ben

On a sunny day in March, Kat and Ben married in style at a private property in Martinborough. These two talented friends of mine run Stem Creativean amazing video and production company based in Wellington. One of their latest ventures is the genius web series called Agencywhich you must check out after this! Naturally, I was a little nervous photographing their wedding. However, I couldn't go wrong with perfect weather, a beautiful setting, and equally beautiful people. This wedding was so much fun to photograph and I hope these images portray the happiness that filled the air.

Kat and Ben, thanks for having me along for the celebration and all the best for the amazing life ahead of you as husband and wife.
Here's to #BAKBA!

Wairarapa Wedding Photography - Lucy & Dave

Earlier this year, two Kiwis living in Hong Kong travelled to Flat Point, Wairarapa, to get married on a working sheep station. Family and friends gathered from all around the globe to be a part of this joyous celebration. Meeting wonderful, caring people like this is what makes my job so rewarding. It was a privilege to document this wedding.

Lucy and Dave, thank you so much for letting me share your story. You two know what life is all about.

Get comfortable, grab a cuppa and enjoy this beautiful story. x

Getting hitched...

Ohariu Farm Wedding Inspiration - Wellington Wedding Photographer

The serene Ohariu Farm was the setting for a recent collaboration between myself and six talented wedding vendors. Thunderstorms were forecast for the day, but, in keeping with the farm's reputation, we ended up with perfect weather and everything came together just right. Ohariu Farm really is the most peaceful, romantic place. It feels like you've escaped to a secluded country retreat and it's only 20 minutes drive from Wellington city!

Styling and co-ordination was flawlessly carried out by the team at Enchante Wedding Design. From the ceremony draping and reception decor to the cute little popcorn and candy floss machines, they did an incredible job. Sally Eagle provided the most beautiful dress from her latest collection and Frank Casey Wellington are the people behind that snazzy tux. Delicate bouquet and boutonniere by Daisy a Day and stunning hair & makeup by the team at Penny Rose. Please take the time to look at the work of these vendors. You won't be disappointed.

Last but not least, thank you to our dreamy models, Sabina and Jacob. You were both fantastic to work with and you brought this shoot to life!

I had the most magical day at Ohariu and can't wait to spend more time there over the summer. I hope you enjoy scrolling through these images as much as I've enjoyed creating them.

Wairarapa Wedding Photography - Caroline & Jared

Caroline and Jared's wedding at the Little Branches B&B in Featherston was so much fun! From the relaxed garden ceremony to the handmade decorations and party games, the whole day was magic. If you're thinking of games to entertain your guests, this is the perfect inspiration for you (these were only half of what was on offer!). Their day was full of life, laughter and lots of love. What weddings are all about.

Congratulations again Caroline and Jared, you are beautiful people inside and out and I wish you all the best X

Wellington Wedding Photography - Zara & Scott

Zara and Scott were married at Dockside Restaurant and Bar on the waterfront earlier this year.
The sky was blue, the sun was shining and there was almost no wind (almost)….a perfect Wellington day!

These two were one of the most relaxed couples I've photographed. And Zara was the most chilled out bride I have ever come across. Huge respect to this woman for her positive outlook on life. It was an absolute blast being a part of this wedding and looking back through these images reminds me how lucky I am to be hanging out with such great people for a living.

Zara and Scott, thank you for choosing me to document your day. Here's to a lifetime of happiness for you both xx

Wairarapa Wedding Photography - Inel & Andy

Inel and Andy were married in April this year at The Landing in Masterton. I can see why this is such a popular venue. It's absolutely beautiful! The gardens are magical and there is a so much variety in the surroundings. A photographer's dream.

These two are such a sweet couple and their ceremony was even sweeter. I had to fight back the tears to keep focused! Their day was full of amazing details and meaningful moments. Inel and Andy showed me what weddings are all about; family, friends and sharing the love. I could go on forever but instead I'll let the images speak for themselves...
